Micro and Macro Coordination

A major and chronic struggle throughout my ministry career has been balancing personal care-taking with organizational /group administration. Organizations are made up of individuals who form groups and the processual dynamics of this reality can create tensions that result in conflict and division within the organization, as well as put pressure on your mental health (i.e., Naomi Osaka). Pastoral and member efforts and interests must consider their organizational vision, mission and objectives as uniting mediums for helping organizations develop cooperation over conflict and win-lose competition, which often is rooted in cronyism, nepotism, and exclusivism or closed cliques. On the other hand, while doing the macro/ organizational/ group business an individual must balance his personal/ subjective/ idiosyncratic needs and interests so his or her societal-self calculus is productive for all actors.
