Individualized Thinking in an Organized World

Romans 14:5, “Let every man be persuaded in his own mind.” This passage deals with the issues of ritual concerning days and diet. Paul concludes that everything ultimately is between the individual and God. However, we live in a social world that is rooted in family, group, and organizational dynamics.

How do you understand the person and others relationship–neighborhood, school, job, society?

  1. Colossians 2;16 says, Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days. As I understand, we as individuals are uniquely put together by God Himself. Our thinking ability, He put there for us to use wisely and maturity with wisdom. I think going to Him in prayer and study He will lead me down His path of righteousness. Acts 5;29 says, We ought to obey God rather than man

  2. Textual quote is good. The KEY seems to be not judging around various rituals that include Sabbath days (weekly, annual). Does Romans 14:1-8 relate to this scripture?
